Level up your 1.8 PvP mechanics
Aim for 8–12 CPS (clicks per second) for the most consistent hit registration in 1.8. Jitter or butterfly clicking beyond this often reduces accuracy without increasing hits.
Master W-tap and S-tap techniques to reset your sprint. Resetting sprint mid-fight increases your hit range and knockback dealt significantly.
Lower your mouse sensitivity and increase your in-game FOV. Most top 1.8 PvPers use 70–90 FOV and a DPI of 400–800 for precise tracking.
In 1.8, blocking with a sword reduces incoming damage by roughly 50%. Block-hitting — attacking while blocking — is a key technique to master in close-range fights.
